At Imbeko Counselling, I understand that no two individuals or the way they experience difficult times in their lives are the same. From my base in Leicester I am here to provide support and help build your confidence to enable you to live a fulfilled life. 

Counselling in your own home

As well as providing face-to-face counselling sessions at my office in Leicester, since COVID-19 we're also offering support via phone or video chat. 

When you get in touch we can talk together in confidence about how you feel and what you are looking to get out of the counselling sessions. I offer both short and long-term therapy and will be here for as long as you need me.

Anxiety and depression

Conflict and anger management

Anger is a normal reaction in some situations but it's important to make sure it is managed in a healthy way. If anger leads to aggression, it can have devastating consequences. I can help you organise your thoughts and discuss coping strategies for difficult situations. 

Bereavement counselling

Losing a loved one is incredibly painful and difficult to adjust to. Everyone reacts to bereavement differently and there is no correct way or length of time a person has to grieve. 

There are said to be seven stages to grief: shock or disbelief, denial, bargaining, guilt, anger, depression, acceptance/hope. I can work with you at any stage to help make things clearer and accept the new reality of life without your loved one.

Help with self-esteem

If you have low self-esteem it can be hard to see yourself and the world around you in anything other than a negative way.

I use integrative methods such as CBT to help challenge patterns of negative thinking and give you the confidence to move forward.

Stress and trauma counselling

Experiencing a traumatic incident or prolonged period of stress can have a large psychological impact on a person. 

Through our sessions together, I can help you overcome and move past a stressful time in your life by providing non-judgemental support and coping strategies.  

LGBTQ+ counselling

I understand that the issues the LGBTQ+ community face can be complex and difficult to talk about. 

I offer a safe and secure environment for you to talk about your feelings and can help you feel confident in yourself.
